Community groups like ours are celebrating the green light for the new Noosa Plan Town (which came into effect on August 1 ) and the added protection it gives to residents, particularly in low density residential areas.
The new Plan, four years in the making, was recently endorsed by 5 of the 7 Councillors, with Mayor Clare Stewart and Councillor Amelia Lorentson voting not to adopt it over concerns for the new short-term accommodation rules.
