BUSHCARE
PBCA volunteers have a proud history of bushcare along our coast, protecting the fragile dunes and working tirelessly to keep this a beautiful, natural place.
PLANNING
PBCA is a strong supporter of the Noosa Town Plan and the low-rise, village-style amenity of our neighbourhoods. We endorse the planning principle that Peregian Beach and Marcus Beach must be first and foremost a beautiful and protected place for residents to live, and that tourism, economic and environmental benefits will follow.
SHORT STAY
PBCA firmly supports Council efforts to rein in the explosion of Short Stay rentals in low density streets that 'hollows out' our neighbourhoods, creates 'motel zones' in previously quiet streets and removes affordable rental for long term residents, while protecting home values and income where it is zoned appropriately.
DOGS
The beach is for sharing, and there are strong environmental reasons why dogs should not be running free in our dunes where turtles and other creatures may be threatened.
FLIGHT PATH
PBCA has had a significant role in campaigning against the highly questionable Sunshine Coast airport Flight Path changes which will have an impact on our way of life and are being introduced without proper consultation.
NOOSA COUNCIL
PBCA encourages all local residents to get involved in electing Councillors who share our values and will protect our villages, lifestyle and environment.
SURF CLUB
PBCA is an advocate for a locally controlled surf club which will never contain gambling operations of any sort and, as well as surf lifesaving, will nurture a broader interest in our coastal ecology.
